Legality E-mail
BZP & TFMPPs

In most countries TFMPP has remained uncontrolled (due to its unpleasurable effects when used on its own), where as BZP is frequently controlled. BZP has achieved controlled status in New Zealand, Australia (along with all Piperazines), Japan, the United States, and parts of Europe. The drug is currently legal in Canada, although a motion has been tabled to have it placed on a list of controlled substances.

BZP first became controlled in the United States after a report by the DEA incorrectly labelled the drug as being 10 to 20 times more potent than amphetamine (it is in fact 10 times less potent). This mistake was later admitted, although the drug remained controlled. Japan and Australia have stated that their decision to control BZP was directly based upon that of the United States. BZP is currently rated under class one within the US, thereby putting it the same controlled category as cannabis, LSD and crack cocaine. TFMPP was controlled for a short while within the US, but its status as an illicit drug was never renewed, thereby leaving it uncontrolled today.
